Theme

Open-source robotics for autonomous biped walking.

Rules & regulations

• The bipedal (two-legged) walking robot must be pre-assembled. Wheels, tracks, or sliding mechanisms are strictly prohibited.
• Coding must be done at the venue itself.
• The robot must not exceed 30 cm (L) × 30 cm (B) × 50 cm (H), and this size must remain constant throughout the run.
• The robot must be built from educational/commercial robotic kits and powered solely by batteries.
• Fully autonomous mode required — no manual control, remote operation or external intervention.
• The robot must walk in a straight line and cover 8 feet on a flat track.
• One official attempt per team, with a maximum time limit of 8 minutes.
• No human interaction with the robot once the run has commenced.

Bonus scoring

Bonus points: top 3 fastest get 20 / 10 / 5 points; each foot crossed successfully earns +1 additional point even if the run is not fully completed.
